Summers in India are hot and brutal. I've gone about three shades darker and on most days I look like a human frying pan. Sure, I get to eat mangoes! Yep, gotta love summers for mangoes. But this still doesn't cover the fact that I simply can't stand the heat anymore. So excuse the grumpy expressions. I did manage a couple of smiles once I got to the beach and got my feet wet. Nothing like a little blue to calm those overheated nerves. Right?







This dress always makes me think I'm a human art-piece. And to think I didn't even want to buy it in the first place! I just got the bow out and did a little kooky tying to make it look more streamlined. I imagine taking to a meeting with a fitted blazer and a chignon (hopefully with a smile too). Overall, not a very good face, but still a gorgeous dress.

I've always been a big fan of the Little Black Dress. So much so that my mom says, "you've got so many now I can't even remember all of them". Erm...that isn't exactly true mom, but I still love buying them whenever I get a chance. So this little number from Globus was off the rail and in my bag within seconds of spotting it in the Globus sales a couple of years back. True, its never made it to the blog for some reason, but when I wore it to a small family dinner a few days ago, it finally got its spot in the limelight!







Layering necklaces is something I think needs to be done right. This dress is such a great base and since it was a little festive occasion I decided it was the perfect time to add a few gold accents to the look. My obsession with crop tops seems to grow everyday. Coupled with the rising temperatures, its my two new loves that have taken centre stage.The Palazzo pants have come out with all their pop colors to combat the heat. Thank god for wide leg pants that can let my body breathe! Right?












Classics are the best when you want fuss free dressing. This classic black croptop is so good, I think its practically a wardrobe staple. These simple palazzo pants are just such a pretty color you immediately want to wear them all the time! I kept the look simple so as to keep the focus on the clean lines. I think summers are the best time for minimal dressing. The hat was just a last minute addition to keep my messy hair in check. Overall, something I think I'll be wearing over and over again this summer.
