Is there anything better than socially acceptable outfits that double up as pyjamas? Or rather, pyjamas that double up as trendy streetstyle outfits? Believe me, if you are someone who struggles with this, you've come to the right place! Today's 3 ways to wear is ALL about rocking those pyjama bottoms that you flaunt to your bedroom walls, out on the streets and still looking super chic. To make it a bit harder for myself and give you more confidence, I've created 3 business casual looks that can actually be worn to work too!
Let's face it! Pyjamas are probably one of the most comfortable form of clothing invented by man.
Look 1 - Friday Business Chic
Blazers make everything look more put together and professional don't they?! I've literally slapped on a blazer and heels and a structured bag and turned my night time outfit into a perfectly acceptable day-time look. Believe in the power of blazers girl, even a single blazer can completely transform your look! I absolutely love the blue tones in this outfit. And if you aren't a blazer girl? Just add on a pair of heels and walk all over those regular outfits!
Look 2 : Button it Up
A white shirt is a complete game changer and when it's ironed and tucked in, you've got yourself a sure winner. This white shirt is a lovely piece that has black detailing that almost makes it look like I've got suspenders on. I swapped out the heels for my staple black pointed flats and pulled my hair in a severe bun. The result is a chic look that works well for the office.
PS: You might want to get your hand on my White Shirt Style Guide for some more inspiration. It's completely free and it'll possibly change your weekend dressing game!
Look 3 : Put a Peplum on It
Peplums are pretty thing aren't they? If you have drawstring bottoms (these ones are actually drawstring ones too) then chances are, you might not want to rock the loose string hanging like limp male body parts to the office. So guess what, just throw on a fitted peplum top and tuck them in. Not only will nobody guess that you've actually worn a drawstring waist (the horror) to work, you'll actually have an outfit that's super chic and can accommodate all those weekend tacos you'll be bingeing on! (okay, maybe that's just me with the tacos with a generous side of burritos)
And that's it folks! Those are my super simple outfits using a pair of pyjama bottoms. I absolutely love finding new uses for pieces that exist in my wardrobe. And while I still find it a bit difficult to style my house shorts to work, wearing PJs out in public becomes socially acceptable when style right. Hope these tips help you create a new look with something that still gives you the comfort of warm hugs and cosy days in bed!
PS: Have a piece you can't figure out how to wear? Just drop me a DM on my Instagram and I'll pick it as part of my 3 ways to wear series!
