Blazers are something that don't really go with my city's weather. Once in a while though, the stars align enough for it to be a what I call perfect blazer weather. This is exactly what happened last week when my family decided to go on an impromptu dinner with my cousins. A little white dress, and a bright blue blazer. Need I say anything more?

This blazer is absolutely perfect! I love the fit, the color and the fabulous military style. (Big thanks to my cousin for gifting it to me!). The dress is another one of my 'lets go to the beach' purchases and I love how its colors go perfecting with my blue blazer. (I can't seem to stop saying the word blazer!) Oh royal blue, I need a little bit more of you in my life!

Am I the only one who remembers The Addams Family? Remember those slightly creepy yet lovable oddballs that came to make us laugh with their scary ways? I used to watch pretty much all the cartoons on the toon channel back then, and today's outfit makes me think of Mortica Adams, the 'lady' of the family.

This skirt was a hand-me-down from a friend who bought it on a whim and couldn't fit into later. The top is my beach top and this whole outfit was basically an intelligent way to hide my ugly legs (no time to visit the beauty shop you see) and go to the beach for a quick evening stroll.

It seems my waist has forgotten to grow over the last few years. I recently did a wardrobe overhaul (which in my book basically end in tears over all the things I wish I could keep) and found these ancient trousers. They used to be too long for me and quite big around the waist when I was a kid (these were a tantrum buy!) and shocked as you may be to hear this, while the length is a cropped one for me now, the latter still applies!

So of course when I tried them on, found they could be used with a belt, and immediately had to figure out a way to wear them the very next day! I kept it simple with my new black shirt and a couple of cream accessories. Overall, a look that can work again for formal sessions in Uni and at the same time, easily translate to a casual weekend look with different accessories.

Do you have pieces that have been in your wardrobe for so long they're practically vintage? How do you style them? Talk to me in the comments below or send me a tweet! I love hearing from you!

I'm so happy to present this Part Two of my College wear series. When I got really nice reviews for the first one, I knew I wanted more parts. This is yet another simple look that works well in the college environment. My college dressing is quite simple and fuss free since most mornings I'm rushing about trying to pack a lunch, study for the classes in the day and leave home without forgetting all those little things you need to do (like eating breakfast, locking the door....sigh)

Its been less than a week and these trousers make another appearance on my blog. This blouse is a new buy (remember when I gave you a sneak peek here) and has already seen a lot of wear. I kept it simple with a little sling bag (since I only had a couple of classes that day). Add my bracelets and earrings and I'm all set to leave for Uni, In less than 10 minutes!!!! Gotta love outfits like this.

Ever since I started teaching, I've been wearing what I classified as 'aunty' clothes. Basically, its what mums in India tend to wear everyday. This look was something that reminded me of what I'd probably wear when I became a mum and gained loads of weight. This top was bought for an aunt turned out to be too small for her, so it ended up in my wardrobe. My only problem with this, its really hard to properly iron it and tends to crease a lot!

I really like the color and think its good enough to stand on its own, so I kept the accessories to a minimum and just added a pair of matching danglers. I'm plesantly surprised at how I ended up liking the overall look. This outfit is something that I would wear to uni (yes, I'm a uni girl again!) and its just the outfit for no fuss days when you can't be arsed with looking for accessories. And at the end of the day, its not what you wear, its how you wear it! Don't you think so?
