Layering necklaces is a trend I've wanted to try for quite some time. Okay, correction, its a trend I used to rock when I was kid, but somehow lost in that transition that we all must make from being a child to a sensible adult. Well, I've decided I don't quite like this whole 'adult' business. Hence, today's outfit.







Some days I wish to dress exactly the way I feel inside. For the past couple of days, I've been frustrated with quite a few things and this is reflected in today's outfit. So I look like a caricature of the wicked witch of the west, I know it and its awrite. Since what I wear is my form of expression, excuse me while I look the way I feel. Oh, well, lets hope this feeling passes by the time I celebrate my birthday. (Less than a week yo!)

I seem to be on a vintage dressing kick lately. Almost every outfit these days tends to have atleast one vintage (read stolen from mum's or aunt's wardrobe) piece in it. Its no surprise then, that I've pulled out a very old dress of mine to re-invent. No, not really a DIY since I spend about 6-7 hrs at home these days(of which for about 5 I'm a dead asleep) and the rest at Uni. (Also the reason why the blog fails to be updated frequently these days).









This is my 'I work on the farm picking cherries and strawberries' look. Well, atleast in my head, that's the version of reality I'm living in. Even if what I'm actually doing is extremely tedious thesis research and drinking packaged berry juice. Everytime I look down though, I feel a little country, and that makes sitting at my work station bearable.

Some outfits don't require a lot of thinking. A simple outfit with a combination of lace and bright cropped trousers is the best way to tackle the current weather(please stop PMS-ing). Add a jacket if the weather gets chilly (how I wish this would happen) or face the rains bravely with your cropped trouser length. Adding a pair of heels makes it a bit more feminine and classy.

I have a working holiday this week, so this post has got to be quick. Kaftans for me have always been associated with beach cover-ups, Goan shores, and evenings in the beach shack sipping iced tea. Wearing one for a casual day out never really crossed my mind till now. Here's my take on how to wear a kaftan when you're not on vacation.

In case you don't know, I'm an only child. I don't have any siblings, and while I have loads of cousins who visit from time to time I've always felt a lack of elder siblings. I always envied those friends of mine with their stories of overprotective elder brothers, fashion obsessed sisters and those little brother-sister things that happen everyday.

So I have a 'brother' who isn't really related to me in the conventional sense, but is definitely my brother all the same.Its as if the universe linked the two of us and I have to say, he's filled a void in my life! We met this weekend to celebrate Raksha Bandhan (remember I spoke about it here) and it was such an amazing day! He was even sporting enough to take pictures for the blog!!

I've finally pulled out my old neon River Island tee (remember when I wore it back here) for a little stroll to a get-together. Here's a sneak peek!
