The slight chill in Mumbai has been slowly creeping into my heart. I've decided that I'm going to make the most of these last few days of 'winter' since I have a feeling that summer is almost here. Boy oh boy is that gonna be a major game changer. I envision melt faster than a Popsicle days and even hotter nights! Back to the present though, I was inspired by a fellow WIWT-er for this look. While layering a shirt with a sweater is nothing new, I just felt it was a look that didn't work for me. However, in the name of reinventing my style I decided to embrace it. Overall, I like how 'grown-up' I feel in this outfit.











I wore a short sleeved shirt since there seemed to be a rise in the mercury. I know the 'jumper' isn't really a jumper but come on, I'd probably die due to over heating in Mumbai if I wore a woolly jumper. However, a nice jumper-like t-shirt is great for layering. I wore my comfy slightly oversized jeans which completed my laid back look quite nicely.

Its all about the trainers!! I have so much love for these new ones from Asos that they've been on my feet practically since I snipped open the parcel! They are super comfortable, and the matress/quilted effect just gives that that little bit of edge.

On to the outfit post, I wore this today to Uni coz I wanted a laid back look that didn't skimp out on style but managed to keep me cozy in this brief winter stint that seems to have started in the country. Overall, I got a few compliments for it and it felt so warm!










I feel that the contrast of the printed trousers with the printed scarf gives the look a little bit of an edge. While I'd worn my spiked necklace during the day, when I came back home to take pictures, I couldn't resist adding my new necklace to the outfit. I mean, its fate isn't it? This new beauty is my first ever 'Thrifty Thursday' item! Yay!! I can see it with a few other outfits already, so cost per wear makes it practically free right?

Winter goodness is here. This definitely means that its time to bust out the tights. Oh how I love saying that! Well, in all my excitement, I'm giving you two looks that you can rock this winter (read two days of dipped temperatures) without a lot of effort! Here's the first one.






I love wearing all those 'a little too short' dresses in winter since they're made more work appropriate with a pair of tights and maybe a jumper. Dress too low uptop? Why scarves are great for giving you a little warmth and preserving your modesty at the same time. All in all, you get way more options to dress with a little effort.

Today I went out to give myself a little birthday treat. I had a vague idea about what I wanted. Skirts. To be more precise, maxi skirts. Well, unfortunately, I didn't have much choice in this on the streets, and what choice I did have simply didn't cut it for me. So, I felt I needed to do a roundup of all the gorgeous skirts I'm desperately wishing I could have in my closet right now. Somebody (Santa) please get these for me!!

I've recently discovered Limeroad.Com! I'd heard about it in passing from other bloggers, followed them on Twitter and Facebook, but never really looked at all the site had to offer till today. I cannot tell you how excited I got today looking at all of the fun and beautiful stuff on their site today.

Now, lets talk bags! If you follow me on Twitter, you know how crazy I got when I started browsing through their GOSF (that's Great Online Shopping Festival for all of you who don't know) bag edit. So many brilliant choices, such afforadable and can I say extremely, tempting prices! I had about a dozen things in my cart by the time I was done 'browsing'. Ahem.

It was extremely difficult to narrow down my favorites, but here are my top five bag picks from Limeroad.com. These are just a few of my favorites and top of my wishlist this Christmas (Hey there St. Nick, you read blogs right?)

I have the best friends! The last two days have been so brilliant, I can't even begin to tell you all the wonderful things I did! Nope, it was something life-changing like jumping out of an airplane. No, everything was quite ordinary mind you, but I'm the girl who gets the most joy in many mundane things. So the 'festivites' (because it did feel like Christmas is here already) started off when my best friend came to visit early in the morning (You may know this already from my many tweets!) and I think that may have set the mood for the rest of the day.

I went to Uni to get my results for a few of the finals test-papers and erm...I did okay. Considering how my exams went, I wasn't too unhappy with most of my grades. I managed to leave a bit early and had a nice little visit with my old work colleagues. No reason, I just missed them! Oh, and after that, I managed to meet up with my best friend again!! Woohoo!! Although, we did have a maniac run looking for a wedding outfit for her sister. Phew! We were, quite literally, the last customers to leave the mall!!

On to the outfit, this was actually last weekend, I was popping out of the house for a little grocery shopping in between study sessions. I love the nautical feel of it. Honest, I didn't plan it this time, but I'm extra extra happy with the whole look!

I love finding new ways to wear old things in my wardrobe. There's something exhilarating about seeing something you always wear, then seeing it in a whole different light. Its almost like getting a new outfit without shopping! Score! Today's outfit is exactly that. Old wardrobe basic, worn in a classic way using a little imagination.







This dress! Are you wondering why you don't know about it? Well, its my mum's skirt. Its black, midi length, and pleated. This could very well be one of my dream skirts. However, thanks to my recent weight loss, it just didn't fit right and so I decided, hey, no reason to get sad, lets turn it into a dress. One belt and a little pleat adjustment later, Hello LBD!!
