#OfficeChic: IndoWestern Workwear

09:23:00

One thing that I love about working in Indian offices is the ability to fuse together Indian and workwear and create something that's really unique. While the last workwear outfit was about wearing Indian's clothes to work, today's outfit is a fusion of Indian sensibilities with western silhouettes that make it a real standout in terms of what you can wear to the office.

Kurtis are what every girl seems to wear to office, sometimes even as much as 3-4 days a week. However, a side slit shirt dress is a welcome change and while it's really a kurti in disguise, you can wear it a few different ways and still have a new, interesting outfit each time.

For the simplest look that can work in any corporate office, I decided to keep the outfit clean and paired a striped side slit shirt dress with a pair of silk palazzo pants. Add my trusty office accessories like the classic pumps and my structured bag, and you've got the ideal indo-western outfit. I added a pair of statement earrings to add a bit of character to the whole look. This side slit shirt dress from Koovs is especiall great since it has an interesting mix of horizontal and vertical stripes which adds a bit of character to the outfit. Overall, this is something that can work not only for the office but for a lot of other events that you may have through the week!

What is your take on wearing Indo-western outfits to work? Love them, hate them, don't really mind! I'd love to hear what you have to say! Talk to me in the comments.
