Not really a dating person? Well, you don't need a man to celebrate Valentine's Day. I love the idea of having an all girls date and that's pretty much what I've planned for myself. Honestly, give the boy chasing a break and take sometime to relax, enjoy yourself and not worry too much about your love life. Oh, and aren't things always more fun with your girls? Think crazy days of shopping where the other person actually has a properly worded opinion when you try on an outfit instead oh, "Uhh, yea it looks good" and checking out those hot guys on the beach minus the awkwardness (no man wants their woman hooting for another guy, innit?) oh and of course, eating food while you compare who's gonna get fatter after it! Yep, that's my kinda day, so of course I have an outfit for it!

I love the idea of going a little retro for Valentine's day. A simple yet stunning skirt is pretty much a big addition to your wardrobe and this one was a birthday present that came a little late. I love the print since I'm a big fan of London and the red rose, well, I bought it for myself and I don't need to be gifted one to make my day. A simple tshirt can be jazzed up if paired with a pretty printed skirt or leggings.

I love the idea of wearing statement tshirts on Valentines day. Honestly, if you're a girl who doesn't like to wear pinks and reds, this look is laid back yet chic enough to go pretty much anywhere. Even if you are going on a date (a blind date maybe), this would be a good idea. Wear what you are on your clothes and warn the guy that this is me! You better learn to accept it!
(PS; I haven't yet found a shopping slogan tee, if I did that would be my perfect blind date outfit no? )

I have the best friends! The last two days have been so brilliant, I can't even begin to tell you all the wonderful things I did! Nope, it was something life-changing like jumping out of an airplane. No, everything was quite ordinary mind you, but I'm the girl who gets the most joy in many mundane things. So the 'festivites' (because it did feel like Christmas is here already) started off when my best friend came to visit early in the morning (You may know this already from my many tweets!) and I think that may have set the mood for the rest of the day.

I went to Uni to get my results for a few of the finals test-papers and erm...I did okay. Considering how my exams went, I wasn't too unhappy with most of my grades. I managed to leave a bit early and had a nice little visit with my old work colleagues. No reason, I just missed them! Oh, and after that, I managed to meet up with my best friend again!! Woohoo!! Although, we did have a maniac run looking for a wedding outfit for her sister. Phew! We were, quite literally, the last customers to leave the mall!!

On to the outfit, this was actually last weekend, I was popping out of the house for a little grocery shopping in between study sessions. I love the nautical feel of it. Honest, I didn't plan it this time, but I'm extra extra happy with the whole look!

So today is the last day of college....for this week. I'm totally exhausted, and a walking zombie on my feet. No Halloween make-up needed here. Today I didn't have any strength to hunt for clothes in what is supposed to be my closet. (Its more a jungle, but made of clothes) I simply picked up stuff from the washed linen pile and put it on. You might cringe if your one of those don't leave your house if your not perfectly dressed people, but try living my life. Its becoming harder to juggle both my lives you know.

Anyway, this is what I looked like for the day. For now, I need to figure out how to shop and sleep at the same time.







Have you gotten into the Diwali spirit yet? I haven't. I need to now cram all the last minute shopping and housework into one day. But the festival is not the time to crib. I should really leave that for another post.

I'm a girl who doesn't own pink! Yep! There, I said it! I have been trying extra hard to figure out what to do for Pink October..and there's this thing I read about 'Wear Pink to Work' to show your solidarity to the cause. This had me racking my brains to figure out what 'Pink' I had. After a frantic plea to my cousin asking her to get me something in pink, I decided Mum might have something. Result, these pretty baby pink leggings!
But talking about Pink October, if you don't know what that is, its an initiative to raise awareness about Breast Cancer. You can visit an amazing site that talks all about it here.






I wore these to a casual evening out with the family. Its been extremely hot these days so the oversized white shirt was just the ticket. Looking back at the pictures though, I do realise that the red bag pops quite a bit more as compared to the baby pink. And speaking of this bag, it is quite special to me as its a gift from a very sweet friend. Thank you so much! I absolutely adore it!

Purple!! I have been very excited about this colour since day one! But as they say, things don't always turn out the way they're supposed to. Sometimes, they're even better!! So I didn't wear purple. What I did do is wear a gorgeous navratri outfit with all associated finery!








This entire outfit is courtesy of my favorite and absolutely brilliant aunt. She is a huge Navratri fan before marriage and still owns most of her festive clothing ans accessories.

Oh, and I'm sorry for the extremely sweaty shiny pictures. These were all taken after hours of dancing. All in all, an amazing way to finish an exciting week!

For a girl who said she had no yellow clothes the previous day, I can't believe I managed to change outfits twice!! One for Uni and the other for a haircut (finally!!). Extremely proud of myself for managing to pull together these two outfits while rushing about with a million things in my head.

You can almost pretend I've chopped off my tresses!

Excuse the tired expression, this was after an very mentally exhausting day.

I've had a haircut!! How cool is the new, much more aligned hair? Oh, you can't really figure it out? Well, its a good couple of inches shorter and has a lot my structure up front. All in all, a pretty good cut that should last me through a few weeks.

Red! I was extremely shocked when I couldn't find anything yesterday morning that was both, Uni appropriate and red. Yes, I kid you not! Thankfully, my gorgeous collection of vintage things came to my rescue. (Big thank you to my aunt!). This little top has been in the family for about 2 generations now, or so I hear! Its got handmade bead designs, is a throwback to the old days when people had time to do intricate work to their outfits and it still looks like a million bucks! Yay!!
