Today I went out to give myself a little birthday treat. I had a vague idea about what I wanted. Skirts. To be more precise, maxi skirts. Well, unfortunately, I didn't have much choice in this on the streets, and what choice I did have simply didn't cut it for me. So, I felt I needed to do a roundup of all the gorgeous skirts I'm desperately wishing I could have in my closet right now. Somebody (Santa) please get these for me!!

If you've met me in the last few weeks, I've probably complained about the heat to you...quite a bit....like every 5 seconds. Maybe its just me, but it seems that every time I have a second to relax, I can't even breath because the heat is killing me softly. (Can that happen? Sure feels like it!)









I absolutely love these Asos shorts! They're cotton, perfect fit (although my recent weight loss means I can't wear them without a belt anymore) and a real life saver on hot summer days. I added this bright blue jacket that my mum made when she was learning how to sew. (umm....when she was about 10-12 years old!) Overall, lovely little outfit that I wore when me and mum went to get a few groceries.

Blazers are something that don't really go with my city's weather. Once in a while though, the stars align enough for it to be a what I call perfect blazer weather. This is exactly what happened last week when my family decided to go on an impromptu dinner with my cousins. A little white dress, and a bright blue blazer. Need I say anything more?





This blazer is absolutely perfect! I love the fit, the color and the fabulous military style. (Big thanks to my cousin for gifting it to me!). The dress is another one of my 'lets go to the beach' purchases and I love how its colors go perfecting with my blue blazer. (I can't seem to stop saying the word blazer!) Oh royal blue, I need a little bit more of you in my life!

Midi skirts used to make me feel very frumpy. But lately, I've been fascinated with them. If paired with the right things, they can be demure yet feminine and this makes them a major plus in my book. This obviously meant I'd go online and waste spend hours going through Asos (the Indian sites didn't have anything I really fancied) looking for chic and economical midi skirts!

I've recently found a few new blogger friends from the UK. They're all absolutely brilliant and I can't even begin to compete with them in terms of style and elegance. Thanks to them, I've started looking at many UK brands (my sister was also a BIG part of this) and since they're all on sale right now, my Chiconomical brain's working overtime! So, i'm going to do a series of outfits this week (not owned since I'm not supposed to be shopping) that I think work well and don't make you dread the credit card bill!

Today's look: A simple office look with a statement piece mainly, the lace skirt! The entire outfit costs less than ₤50!!
