Till last month, I used to love Monday mornings. It was the only day of the week when I could reach Uni a bit late and sleep a little more. This Monday wasn't like that. I have be up since about 5.30 and have been on my feet the whole day. Not to mention I need to study for a dozen tests and time seems to fly.
So what do you wear on days like these? Why comfort clothing of course!







This is my lets get ready while trying to study outfit. Throw on a baggy shirt with a pair of pretty coral leggings. Hair piled up in a messy knot since there's no time to comb it and add oversized earrings to complete the look. While its nothing out of the ordinary, its something I stand by. Fashion doesn't need to always been perfect right? Sometimes, chucking things on still makes them look pretty (well, unless you chuck on a pair of mismatched socks...those never seem to get trendy no matter how much I try!)

Weekends for me are all about comfort. Yes, I'm fashion conscious, but that doesn't mean I forgo comfort and simplicity for fashion. In my world, fashion is being comfortable in what you wear, be it a simple pair of pjs or a designer gown. Its how you carry yourself that matters. Today's outfit is something you will find me in on any ol' laid-back day at home. I quite like how smart it looks (big fan of tucked in high waist skirts here!) but still affords me a great deal of comfort. Oh, and haven't you noticed, its blue!

Yet another throwback post. My family is a big on beach outings. This was what I wore to a 'beach day' and then lunch at a restaurant with the family. I love lazy days like this, and right now, when I'm burdened with a million assignments that need to be completed before the end of this month, the post gives me hope for the future.








Little white dresses are the new LBDs. Okay, so I don't really think so to be honest. I however believe a nice white cotton dress works really well with the Mumbai weather. I didn't wear all the pearly goodies when we went to the beach though. I'm not that crazy. Also, my brother tends to think sand baths are a great way to bond...so...yea.

Its day two! Its a Sunday! And the color for the day is Orange. Now I had to think hard over what to wear since I don't have much orange in my closet. I spent a good fifteen minutes before I recalled buying this on one of my impulsive shopping trips with my best friend about five years ago!! Yep, its ancient, I haven't thought of it for ages now, and it took me quite some time to dig it out of the back of my closet. Perfect for my day at the beach with the folks!

So its been about ten days of madness and I haven't been able to do anything other than think and breathe medicines and hospitals. This little outfit is what I wore last week when my mom was in the hospital and I was busy running errands. Denim is the easiest thing to wear when you don't know your work hours, and when its a denim overall, its totally awesome. Read, no need to look for a matching top!! Sold!!

I also think this is a cool way to welcome autumn, okay...erm...its still raining here so technically, its still summer/monsoon down here, but, a girl can hope right? I paired this with a simple crop top and heels. Although I have to be honest, these had come off in a couple of hours and were replaced by my trusty kicks.

Some outfits don't require a lot of thinking. A simple outfit with a combination of lace and bright cropped trousers is the best way to tackle the current weather(please stop PMS-ing). Add a jacket if the weather gets chilly (how I wish this would happen) or face the rains bravely with your cropped trouser length. Adding a pair of heels makes it a bit more feminine and classy.

Is there something called color addiction anonymous? Coz I feel I need color rehab! I've been wearing a lot of Blue lately (like you didn't notice!) and seriously need to start focusing on other colors. Somehow, I seem to be wearing exactly what my mood seems to be these days. Today's outfit was just another blue day. (A few other 'blue' outfits can be seen here, here and here)

In case you don't read my blog (why not?) you know that I've been having shoe problems lately (read the post here) and so this whole outfit was mainly based on comfort. The fact that I rather liked it in the end is an added bonus! The leggings I'm wearing are true blue vintage! They used to be my mum's and have been in her closet for a good 26 years now! Still, pretty brilliant no?

Red is one of those colours that never goes out of style. Its also one of the colors in my closet that instantly makes me feel more confident. So when I was hunting for a new way to wear this skirt (remember I'd worn it here) I figured, why not wear all red? Now I've always secretly imagined what it would feel like to wear a red gown and strut down a red carpet, a la Rihanna at the Grammys but I don't think I'm quite there yet. I mean, its not okay to wear a beautiful gown and then chicken out, stay at home, watch the award shows and eat ice-cream right? Right?

Anyway, back to my outfit, this is just a little experiment in trying to find a better way to wear my skirt. This top is a actually something I bought as beachwear and haven't been able to wear all that much simply because I feel its too boho for regular wear. However, with this skirt, its quite nice and feels more polished! Score one for me!
