I'm a girl who doesn't own pink! Yep! There, I said it! I have been trying extra hard to figure out what to do for Pink October..and there's this thing I read about 'Wear Pink to Work' to show your solidarity to the cause. This had me racking my brains to figure out what 'Pink' I had. After a frantic plea to my cousin asking her to get me something in pink, I decided Mum might have something. Result, these pretty baby pink leggings!
But talking about Pink October, if you don't know what that is, its an initiative to raise awareness about Breast Cancer. You can visit an amazing site that talks all about it here.






I wore these to a casual evening out with the family. Its been extremely hot these days so the oversized white shirt was just the ticket. Looking back at the pictures though, I do realise that the red bag pops quite a bit more as compared to the baby pink. And speaking of this bag, it is quite special to me as its a gift from a very sweet friend. Thank you so much! I absolutely adore it!

Some outfits don't require a lot of thinking. A simple outfit with a combination of lace and bright cropped trousers is the best way to tackle the current weather(please stop PMS-ing). Add a jacket if the weather gets chilly (how I wish this would happen) or face the rains bravely with your cropped trouser length. Adding a pair of heels makes it a bit more feminine and classy.

Your Mom's closet is a great place to shop in when your wondering what to wear. My mom's closet is full of amazing western outfits, most of them gifted by dad to her, since he's a big fan of western dressing. Of course I picked out a knee length skirt, of course its blue, I mean, that's quite obvious considering its been a running theme this week, right? Right?? (I agree I'm obsessed and need to start facing it!) In case you can't seem to understand what I'm talking about, you can read my last post here.

Do you have times when you take outfit pictures only to find out that the lens was all blocked up and your pictures turned out blurry? Well, that happens to me quite a bit (hey, I'm really not that good at taking pictures yet!). Usually I tend to throw those straight in the bin, but this time I decided I would share them with you. After all, there's beauty in breakdown, right?






Do you wear leggings are trousers? I used to hate it till a while back (I never would really wear this out in public) but I might be warming up to the idea after tonight. Its been a few months since I started using Instagram. Oh, what a wonderful way to learn about good pictures! Initially, I wasn't sure if I could ever like a simplistic application such as this. I kept wondering what the fuss was about! Now, I seem to keep veering towards that little brown camera on my phone every free I get!

Also, it makes me realise that there are millions of  fabulous photographers all over the world! I seem to have started thinking about 'Instagram moments' ever since I got hooked. So I thought, it would be only appropriate that I share some of my top 'moments' from my short while on Instagram.






So those are a few of my favorites! I really do like all the new things I've been learning here. The best thing I've learnt from Instagram....
there's beauty in the most unexpected places, all you need to do is look for it.

I've got a few friends who've gone to the States to pursue higher education. One of them recently asked me what she should wear for the Independence day celebrations. Now, first of, I was quite flattered because it made me feel like a cool fashionista offering her advice. Secondly, the whole discussion made me feel like dressing up so this post is my take on the red, white and blue trend that always crops up around this time.
I paired a nautical skirt with a simple white silk blouse and added a little bit of red with my belt. Simple and functional!
