Last week during my (not very) brief dalliance with sickness, I had a lot of free time to browse online shops and lust after all the things I need want. Usually, I can spend hours wishing and shortlisting things on Asos or Romwe simply because they provide international shipping. Because while I love shopping, I might have to sell a kidney to pay for shipping from everywhere else! This doesn't mean that I don't wish for things from other places like J.Crew, Topshop and especially H&M!

The H&M sale page is one of my favorites these days. They have so much stuff that I want and surprisingly can afford! Only problem is I need to figure out how to get the to shop to India. (Although I do have a few ideas on that aswell). I especially love the trousers they do! Here are my favorites from their sale!

I have been struggling with monsoon wear. Till now, I've always gone to college/university during monsoons and that means there are rules about what not to wear. And that eliminates everything other than jeans and maybe a full length skirt if your lucky. Last year, I was busy being a professor and that meant I was in Indian wear which was a bit of a plus since it does dry out easier than jeans. But this year, I don't have such problems which means I have freedom of dressing! So of course I'm being sensible and wearing dresses. And this little number that my sister sent me is the obvious choice. (Read about the other gifts I got here) A polyester blend that dries out in minutes and the perfect length to sport with a nice umbrella or a jacket.

New Look's got a new petite section! Its gotten me quite excited since they have some pretty brilliant stuff. Since one of my cousins can't survive without the petites, this post is dedicated to her. Monochrome is my fallback when I don't have the strength to put together a smart outfit or if I'm pressed for time. Its so classic and chic that you can carry it anywhere.

I've recently found a few new blogger friends from the UK. They're all absolutely brilliant and I can't even begin to compete with them in terms of style and elegance. Thanks to them, I've started looking at many UK brands (my sister was also a BIG part of this) and since they're all on sale right now, my Chiconomical brain's working overtime! So, i'm going to do a series of outfits this week (not owned since I'm not supposed to be shopping) that I think work well and don't make you dread the credit card bill!

Today's look: A simple office look with a statement piece mainly, the lace skirt! The entire outfit costs less than ₤50!!
